"Ladies and gentlemen."
That’s it! I made it through the opening part of my speech, at least I’ve said it grand. I looked at the faces in the crowd and I must admit it was very daunting. If you can only see the judgment that their eyes suggest, you will melt in no time. They now consider me as…

Small Stories of Princess Diana (56)
This is the charm bracelet that Diana received as a gift from Prince Charles. Each year for the first ten years of their marriage he gave her a different charm to add to the bracelet. In 1982 and 1984 he gave her a gold W and H to mark the births of their sons William and Harry. Other charms he bought her included a pair of ballet shoes because Diana had once dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer, a tennis racquet, as tennis was her favorite sport ; a polo cap to represent his love of Polo ; a miniature St Pauls Cathedral for where they married ; a bear for her love of teddy bears ; an apple to represent her love of Manhattan; a wombat which is their nickname for their first born William and finally a letter X for their 10th wedding anniversary. Diana never wore the bracelet in public, she kept it safe and to her it was the most precious reminder of all the good times in her marriage.
A/N: I finally had the chance to put this up. This chapter, I should say, was too hard for me to do. I hope you enjoy reading it. Opinions and suggestions are gladly accepted on my ask.

It’s good to know that there was once a fairytale that happened.
"Natural grace is something you’re born with, I suspect. And she wore such marvelous things. It was always fascinating to see, particularly when she was wearing a long dress, a tiara, and jewelry, and everything else. It was rather marvelous. I remember being fascinated by that. She used to come in occasionally before going to something, and I’d gaze in amazement. She always looked marvelous in those jewelries, I think."

She was a inspiration to millions and she is still remembered until this day. Diana was the peoples Princess for many reasons. She married into the royal family a shy girl and ended up becoming one of the most independent woman out there. Her marriage fell apart, and the public haunted her which caused her to self harm, go bulimic and attempt suicide more than three times. She had gone through a rough 15 years in life and Diana taught me to never give up on happiness even in the darkest times. You look at a Princess and see a smile, and act they put on for the public and you assume that they are the happiest people alive, but the truth is we don’t know what’s hiding behind that smile. Diana was hiding a lot behind a smile, but she was strong and she fought to be happy and she didn’t let anything bring her down, she was a fighter. I will always look up to her for being able to live through everything she had gone through and still manage to have the country and the people love her, to make changes around the world and to be the best mother she could be. Most girls wanted to be Cinderella or Snow White when they grew up, I just wanted to be as intelligant, beautiful and charismatic as Diana, a real Princess.
Happy Birthday Diana, Princess of Wales. You’ll forever be the people’s princess!
